About Our Chef

Mary Reilly
Chef and Owner

As any of my friends can tell you, I am incredibly passionate about great food, dining and travel. I worked in the business world for many years while continuing my self-directed culinary education. I founded The Savory Kitchen in 2007 to bring great food to busy people.

I have been fortunate to have broad exposure to many culinary styles. My primary focus is on the foods of the Mediterranean. However, I have also studied the foods of the Indian subcontinent and enjoy Chinese cooking as well. Whenever possible, I try to make these foods as "authentic" as possible, but I am also comfortable adapting traditional foods to people's tastes.

As an avid gardener, I am also very interested in using the best local ingredients I can find. I enjoy visiting farmer's markets, dairies and specialty stores.

I am ServSafe certified, have completed BarSmarts Wired training, and also have a certificate in Operating a Personal Chef Business from Boston University.
